Daddy's Home!

We were so excited for Matt to make it home after his first week at the academy.  He called on Monday and sounded down but by Tues/ Wed. he sounded much better.  He was getting to know some of the other recruits and was enjoying some of the classes.   Matt made it home about 8:30 on Friday night.  We were so glad to see him!  We grilled out hamburgers and had some fun.  On Saturday, we got up early and all of us went to the Treynor City wide garage sales.  Next, we went to Target to get a few things on Matt's list that he need to take back up with him.  Matt did the mowing when we got home from town.

Saturday night we went to the Rose Theater in Omaha to see a production of the children's book- Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.  Grandma Susan used to read it to Matt when he was little so we asked her to join us.

Brock got his picture with some of the characters:
The Kangaroo from Australia
                                                                            Alexander

Sunday morning we got up and went fishing and mushroom hunting.  No fish were biting and we only found 2 mushrooms.  Brock had fun on our hike anyways!  Here he is being a two toed sloth!
When we got home, he delivered May Day Baskets to the neighbors.

Matt decided to stay on Sunday night and get up early on Monday morning to head back to the academy.  He said if he can have one less night there during the week he will be better off!  We are happy to have him back as much as he can so we are not complaining!

Happy Birthday to our Cousin Noa.  We also remembered that May Day was Grandpa Joe's birthday.  Happy Anniversary to Kenzie and Daniel.

  1. I see Brock has lost his two front teeth. Clare's are wiggling.
