We headed to Omaha one evening for a night with the stars. The Omaha Astronomical Society was hosting a Star Party at the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge. The event was free and they had giant telescopes for getting a glimpse of the moon and Saturn. We arrived at the 8:30 start time and the moon was beautiful! We were all very impressed with how awesome the telescope was.
It needed to be a little darker before we could see Saturn so we took a walk over the Pedestrian Bridge and Brock played in the splash gardens for a bit.
There were 5 different telescopes we could view with. Saturn was awesome...you could see it's rings and moon. The star party was fantastic and it was a family fun night that was well worth it!
