The water is coming closer each day as Mills and surrounding counties prepare for major flooding. Many people are packing up and moving out in order to stay safe, but unfortunately, many are predicted to lose their homes.
The brand new John Deere building has emptied out and built a berm surrounding their building in hopes of being able to move back in.
A common site as you drive through the area is horse trailers, semi trailers, moving vans, and PODS.

This picture shows the end of Grandma Susan's driveway and how close the water is. (It was also take about 2 weeks ago)
They are building themselves a little berm as well to try to keep the water back from the house!
The dump truck drivers are working non-stop up and down Grandma's road to raise the railroad so trains can get the coal through to the power plant.
Sandbagging efforts have been done by many to help in areas needed.
