BUT WE HAD A GREAT TIME! The Omaha Children's Museum was celebrating their 35th anniversary and sponsored a parade through downtown Omaha. We were one of 35 families who were able to take part in the grand finale of a 35 Soda Geyser Salute in front of the museum.
A quick stop at Target on our way up to get some more umbrellas and we were on our way. It was cloudy and drizzling until just before the start time, when the rain came down a little harder during our 4 block walk.
Waiting for the start...Matt was thinking about riding Brock's bike instead :)
Brock getting his picture with Dave Webber from channel 6 news.
Here we go!!!
Matt and Brock loading up the Diet Coke bottle with Mentos to prepare for the soda geyser salute
In our spot....Brock was lined up right next to Dave again!
Waiting for the countdown to begin... (see the video following this post)
After the parade we headed inside the museum to enjoy some of the fun
Brock blew some "body bubbles" on our way out...using just your hands you dip them into the solution and create big bubbles!
Making window bubbles with straws and string
And blowing some cluster bubbles!
Even with the rain, we still had lots of fun on our special day together!
