First Youth Tournament

The weekend of Brock's 6th birthday he wrestled in his first youth tournament. I was so nervous for him since he had only been to about 4 official practices! He had several friends to run around with while waiting to wrestle.

I had so many better pictures from the day and a video of his first match and they were all deleted. I was so bummed.

His tooth was really loose when we got there and during warm ups, it fell out. We told him that a little blood on his singlet makes him look tough.

Brock got a bye his first round and wrestled a 2nd year kid for his first match. Sebastian is a first grader and Brock was able to win this match. I was so darn proud of him! The two of them played together all day long while waiting to be called.

He was so excited to get to stand on the medal stand- he got pinned his 2nd match (Brock was crying before he went out to the mat...he heard the other boy's dad say, "you gotta get out there and beat him"...."dad, is he talking about me" Brock asked Matt.)

Brock came home with a second place medal!
