The night before Brock was born, Matt had a dual several hours away. I was not supposed to eat after midnight because of my surgery the next morning so I went to Oasis for dinner in Glenwood. I have gone there each year the night before Brock's birthday to remember the feeling I had of knowing I was going to be a mom in just a matter of hours.
This year Brock and I went with Granny, Joe, and Kenzie. He opened some gifts from them, enjoyed a ice cream sundae from the owners along with "Happy Birthday", and some cupcakes I had brought from home.
The morning of his birthday Matt and I let him open his presents from us. He was pretty excited about all of his star wars and lego toys!
Birthday night he had a choice of what he wanted to do for dinner. He decided he wanted to have the neighbors over for pancakes. They decided they wanted to dress to impress when they came over. Brock quickly changed into his suit coat for a few minutes before deciding he would rather wear his singlet for the rest of the evening.
Grandma Susan and Papa Dennis also stopped over with gifts!
