Our IT Department

Last night while waiting for Matt to get home from practice I asked Brock if he wanted to play a game on the computer. When he was one and I was teaching at Malvern, I purchased a set of computer games (learning ones of course!) from the Books are Fun company. I have tried a few different times to help him learn how to work the mouse to play but he has never been very good at it. I am happy to say that last night he did a great job! He loved it! There are so many great learning and skill practice games available online that I don't mind if he plays those every now and then.

It took us a few tries at some different sites to find ones that he could do but we ended up spending most of our time at the Kids.aol.com site. They had lots of games he was able to master.

Matt came home and Brock was still playing so we watched him for a while. He was acting so grown up and saying the funniest things. One of the things he kept saying as he was moving the mouse was, "I think that's cheating". I don't even think he knows what that means. We don't know why he was saying it, but he was just so serious while playing. I had to take a picture.

A picture? You thought my camera was broke? You are right! Yesterday I sent it off by FedEx to the repair shop. He was just so cute playing that I had to get creative and I used his new camera to take the pic. Grandma Susan got the Fisher Price Kid Tough Digital Camera for B for Christmas. The quality of the pics is not the best, but hey it worked!

Now when I get some time I will search for some more preschool friendly sites that have some games he can learn with!
